Settings (2)
MCK (Master clock)
This set-up mode selects the word sync or master clock mode.
A different setting can be made for each input.
< Make a connection to the WORD SYNC terminal before selecting
W-IN or W-OUT.
PLL1 (Word sync off, NORMAL mode)
This setting does not use the word sync. Only the first of the two
internal PLL circuits is operated. The WORD indicator goes off.
< PLL circuit: A circuit which generates the master clock necessary for
D/A conversion.
PLL2 (Word sync off, Dual PLL mode)
This setting does not use the word sync. Both internal PLL circuits
are operated. The WORD indicator lights green.
The WORD indicator flashes green while the PLL circuit is locking.
When the lock is finished, the indicator stops flashing.
< The second PLL circuit utilizes an internal crystal oscillator.
< If the input audio signal is 32 kHz, this unit works in the “PLL1” word
sync mode even if the “PLL2” is selected.
< If an audio signal that cannot be locked by the internal crystal
oscillator is input, locking is not completed and the indicator
continues to flash. If this occurs, change this setting to “PLL1”.
OUT (Word sync output mode)
The unit internally generates and sends out a Word Clock signal.
The WORD indicator lights blue.
< Set the word sync of any connected device to ON (or IN) when
setting the MCK to OUT. If the word sync setting of any
connected device is set to OFF, some noise may be generated.
< You can change the frequency of the word sync signal in the
W_OUT setting. See the right column for details.
IN (Word sync input mode)
The unit now operates according to the externally input clock.
Selecting “IN” causes the WORD indicator to blink in blue while
the unit searches for an external clock signal. The indicator stops
blinking when the unit detects and locks on to the external clock
signal. The unit is now ready for playback synced to the external
clock signal.
< This unit can handle clock signals up to 192 kHz and switches
automatically to accommodate signal input.
< This unit may not be able to make synchronization depending on
the output accuracy of the connected device.
< The word clock input signals are needed to be synchronized with
the digital audio input signals. Noise may be generated if the
word clock input signals and the digital audio input signals are not
synchronized.
W-OUT (Word clock frequency)
When connecting a device which has a word sync input terminal, such
as an Esoteric P-05, select the frequency of the word sync signal.
The factory setting is “44.1”.
44.1kHz(44)
88.2kHz(88)
176.4kHz(176)
48kHz(48)
96kHz(96)
192kHz(192)
Numbers shown in parentheses are the numbers on the display.
A different setting can be made for each input.
RC (Remote control)
If you use the D-07 with an optional Esoteric amplifier, you can set the
D-07 to respond to the Esoteric remote control.
The factory setting is “Disable”.
Enable
This setting enables the D-07 to be operated by the Esoteric
amplifier remote control.
Disable
This setting disables the D-07 from being operated by the Esoteric
remote control.
DISP (Display)
You can select whether the display indicates the volume level selected
or the sampling frequency.
The factory setting is “Fs” which indicates the sampling frequency.
VOL
Displays the value of the output level set by using the VOLUME
buttons.
Fs
The sampling frequency is displayed.
During upconversion, “U will be displayed to the right of the
sampling frequency.
